Abstract

  • Introduction: Paratesticular tumors are uncommon. Treatment is surgical, with local excision recommended for benign masses and radical orchiectomy for malignant tumors.

Clinical case: A 65-year-old male presented with a progressive, painless enlargement of the left hemiscrotum over six months. Physical examination revealed a firm scrotal mass. Imaging studies showed a heterogeneous expansile lesion in the left hemiscrotum. A left radical orchiectomy with high ligation of the spermatic cord was performed, and pathological examination reported a well-differentiated paratesticular liposarcoma.

Conclusion: Paratesticular liposarcoma is a rare neoplasm that can mimic other scrotal masses. The definitive diagnosis is histopathological, and the treatment of choice is radical surgical resection. Its recognition is essential in the differential diagnosis of scrotal masses.
