Introduction: Bladder cancer is the 7th most common cancer in men and the 10th in both genders, represen- ting 3.3% of all tumors most frequently seen over the age of 50. Tobacco is the most important risk factor for this pathology, presenting itself as the main factor in 50% of cases, increasing according to the intensity with which it is consumed and the duration of use, even being associated with passive smokers.
Case: Female patient with no known morbid or pathological history with recurrence of bladder tumor on more than four occasions in two years without response to conservative therapy with TUR, BCG and mitomycin. Histopathological reports show high-grade papillary urothelial tumor. Recurrence of multiple tumors larger than 3 cm.
Conclusion: In patients with bladder cancer, laparoscopic cystectomy with neobladder does not affect the prognosis of the cancer, facilitating almost normal urination and thus improving the quality of life and selfimage of patients.
